Kelly’s Wine Blog: March

March is here. Time to drink those awesome whites and rosés.  My favorite wines come from Spain and they are making some of the liveliest and most exciting white wines in Europe – all from the grape called albariño.  They are bone dry, with hints of peaches, ginger, and citrus, with rarely any oak flavors.  Best of all, consumed with seafood, it’s traditional companion, albariño does what a spray of fresh lemon juice does- it makes the seafood taste even brighter and fresher.  Unlike most Spanish or European wines, which are named for their place of origin, albariños are always labeled for the grape. So sauté some shrimp and enjoy!

Cheers, Kelly
